In celebration of Hina Matsuri (Doll Festival or Girls' Festival) in Japan, we are holding a contest!
Below is just some cultural information, for those of you who only want the prizes, feel free to read ahead.
Some cultural information about the festival
March 3rd is ひな祭り　（ひなまつり）which is the day when people pray for happiness and good health for girls. Families also put up elegant doll displays and make small offerings such as rice crackers for the dolls.
The dolls are dressed in the clothes of the imperial court during the Heian period. They are placed on a tiered platform, with the emperor and the empress occupying the highest tier. There are usually 5 to 7 tiers.
