Like the river that carves its path in the canyon,
That sliver of ribbon
Silky and smooth
Reflective
Of both you and the moon.
Twisting and turning in an eternal trail
Looping around the mountain effortlessly
Returning, without fail
To the beginning - a ring,
An unending cycle
You are my mountain;
Stoic and unyielding, my guide in the night.
I am versatility;
My life wounds around you.

I got the inspiration for this poem from the word "versatility". It kept making me think of a river. I tried to use symbolism but not quite sure if I achieved the effect.
